Tax cuts, lib guts, and sodomy

The entire system is fucked. Obama is stuck in a room with a bunch of bleeding cunts that have no use for anyone worth less then 8 figures, and they have enough power to stop him. What should he do? Should he let all the cuts expire, take over the airwaves, and repeatedly remind the public that you have no tax cuts or unemployment benefits benefits because the GOP wants Rick Scott to have a few extra pages in his bank statement to toss off to in between issues of Tiger Beat? Yes. Yet, I am not unemployed (yet) and don't need those benefits to afford this month's Tiger Beat. Where is the compassion on the left? Where is the glee that this deal is, in effect, a new stimulus package? Too many of us (often, me included) are pissed that "our guy" looks like a wimp in the face of Republicans. But he has to cut deals with these lunatics to get anything he wants and we must remain mindful of that. Sadly, he is as far to the left as the country will allow and we must remain behind him.

Thank you.

I'm on the last week of my 1st tier of unemployment extensions. Today is 1 year since I was laid off. I was middle management. In that year, I've been called twice about jobs and had one interview. I've applied for anything and everything, nothing too good or too not good enough for me. I need income.

I'm worried. I hate that the Republicans are assholes. But while people are freaking out because the President is perceived as weak, my electric bill, water bill and gas bill are all due next week. I've had to use what money I have now to pay for some groceries and gas for my husband to get to his job.

The bottom line is that until we truly address the issues causing these problems - it all stems from deregulation of the banks, business and communications - all of these fixes are going to fall short.

"our guy" just laid himself down in front of a runaway train to do what congress couldn't.
