Perhaps a dingleberry rather than a full-fledged turd.
The list of ideas in this article shows that he really did see some things that had the potential to be important, but his acolytes weren't very good readers. Instead, they prefered hogswallop like, "Who Moved My Cheese", to any system that required them to actually do anything differently or better.
Maybe he's not a dingleberry either. Perhaps he's more of rat turd.
