Monica Spewinsky, Portapotty Bush, Joe the Spy, Sara Phalin and the New Republic

Yay. The balance of power has shifted to the Dems again. But why did they lose power in the first place? From 1991 to 2000, the U.S. experienced 37 quarters of economic expansion. The longest period of expansion on record. Why wasn't that enough to maintain the power?

Oh yeah. I remember now. It was the dress. The blue one with the big white stain. The one once worn by a Republican spy who was very clever and crafty with Bill and little Billy. If it wasn't for that dirty rag surfacing from the depths of the Republihell party, Bill would have gotten away with ADULTERY. The public thought, could there be anything worse? There was no way whatsoever that any self respecting Republican could bring himself to vote for Slick Willy's partner Gore after that stunt. No way, no how. Not even if it meant extending the longest period of expansion on record.

By the time the infamous presidential election of 2000 came along, we were a very divided nation. Portapotty Bush ran a dirty campaign. Al Gore appeared more robot than man to the public. It was a very very close election, but Al Gore won. He did it. The prosperity would continue. But wait. More espionage. There were hanging chads, pregnant chads, and other funky chads in Florida. And in the end Portapotty Bush was inaugurated president of the United States of America. The Repblicans out spied the Democrats and they regained power of the most powerful nation on Earth. Of course they had another spy in place, just in case Jeb couldn't come through for his brother. His name is Joe the Spy, AKA Joe Lieberman.

If you take the frost (ber) out of Joe's name, his true identity appears, Joe Lie-Man. Imagine if Joe the Spy had gotten into the white house. I know it's a crazy thought. But just as crazy, this traitor openly supported John McTurd, spread lies about Barack Obama, hoped to become McTurd's running mate, and still holds subpoena power to investigate the Obama administration as chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. McTurd has fully outed Joe the Spy as his hero Cheney had done to one of our CIA operatives. We must strip Joe the Spy from his leadership positions within the Democratic party.



Electing Obama was a huge step for our nation, but there is still a lot of work to do. It is crazy that the Portapotty Bush Administration has not received any real consequences for their heinous crimes against our country, the world, and humanity as a whole. But I guess our electorate does not think that their acts are as bad as lying about adultery. Here are some of the things that we know so far and the current administration has never been impeached. The administration lied about ousting one of our CIA's operatives, mislead the nation to rally support for an unjustified war, implemented a domestic spy program, completely deregulated corporate America, rose our national debt to almost 11 trillion dollars. I'll stop here because there are just so many things. You get the idea. The only good thing that has come out of this is that Sarah Phalin is the new face of the Republihell party.

9/11 Inside Job...

Our Attorney General has been spewing lies about the FISA bill and telecom immunity for months now. He keeps repeating the lie that wiretap warrants hurt the government in trying to protect us. He claims that retroactive immunity is necessary for telecoms because if they are sued for breaking our fourth amendment rights then the ensuing trials would reveal how the government listens to "terrorists". Or how the administration has broke the law is how I interpret it. These claims are false. He knows they are false yet he continues to spread the lie. Mukasey has now taken this falsehood to a whole new level. Last week while speaking in San Francisco about FISA he nearly wept while exploiting 9/11 for his cause to keep the spying program hidden and he dropped this BOMB:

Officials "shouldn't need a warrant when somebody with a phone in Iraq picks up a phone and calls somebody in the United States because that's the call that we may really want to know about. And before 9/11, that's the call that we didn't know about. We knew that there has been a call from someplace that was known to be a safe house in Afghanistan and we knew that it came to the United States. We didn't know precisely where it went."

Did he just admit that the Bush administration KNEW of a call from the plotters of 9/11 but didn't do anything about it because FISA law forced them to get a warrant? FISA law at the time absolutely did NOT force them to get a warrant. So which is it? Is he lying about " a call from an Afghan safe house" that the government "could" have intercepted had it not been for FISA? Or, is he saying that the government actually listened to " the call" and allowed what happened on 9/11 to happen? He can't have it both ways, he's lying about one of them. Which do you think?

Here we go folks...

As I have been posting on this subject for what seems like my entire adult life, we are about to see an end to the FISA telecom immunity story for good. When the House caves in finally and gives Bush the immunity bill he has been terrifying the country that he needed, that will be the end of it. We will never fully know what the president and the NSA were doing. We will never know if it actually was illegal. We will never know the full scope of this story. Remember people, this wasn't the president wiretapping the Democratic National Committee building to hear what his opponents were up to. This was your president casting a huge data mining net over the entire country to see what YOU were up to. Hope you haven't bought any Noam Chomsky books recently or you might be getting a knock on the door soon. What this also enables is future president's, whether Republican or Democratic, to do the same damn thing all over again. This is a sad day for our fading "democracy". Please pour a little from your 40 oz tonight in loving memory.

What a crybaby....

Here's your President:

" At issue is a dispute over whether telecommunications companies should be subjected to class-action lawsuits because they are believed to have helped defend America after the attacks of 9/11. Allowing these lawsuits to proceed would be unfair. If any of these companies helped us, they did so after being told by our government that their assistance was legal and vital to our national security."

Once again people, say it with me. If no crime was committed, then why the immunity? Have you ever heard of anyone who needed immunity for something that wasn't illegal? He can't even say if they did "help" the government because that would automatically prove the standing of these lawsuits. As we have seen, our Judicial branch refused to hear one case because of standing. Bush uses the word "believed" to have helped. Then he cries, "unfair"! Really? Like getting sent to prison for 8 years for political reasons?

"Now, let me talk about the phone companies. You cannot expect phone companies to participate if they feel like they're going to be sued. I mean, it is these people are responsible for shareholders. They're private companies.

The government said to those who have alleged to have helped us that it is in our national interests and it's legal. It's in our national interest because we want to know who's calling who from overseas into America. We need to know in order to protect the people.

It was legal. And now all of a sudden plaintiffs attorneys, class-action plaintiffs attorneys, you know I don't want to try to get inside their head; I suspect they see, you know, a financial gravy train are trying to sue these companies. It's unfair. It is patently unfair."

Once again notice the very interesting choice of words, "alleged to have helped us". If they didn't help us, why does Bush care if they get immunity? If they get sued for 5 billion, Bush can then give the telecoms 5 billion in subsidies or whatnot. That's not the real point, the real point is no trials. If trials happen, then disclosure happens. Then impeachment and jail sentences follow.

Finally, I LOVE hearing Bush talk of financial "gravy trains". Not that the Iraq war hasn't been one huge gravy train for Halliburton, Blackwater, Betchel, KBR, etc. It's almost too much hypocrisy for one's brain to fathom.

We're all gonna die!!

Is there no end to the freakshow that is the lunatic right. Be afraid, be very afraid!

Glenn Greenwald is my hero

I wanted to share this piece he wrote on how our Supreme Court denied a NSA wiretapping case from being heard. Our country is in bad shape if Alito, Scalia and Roberts are allowed to protect a criminal in the White House. This is a serious story and I find it sad that the only people talking about it are bloggers and Keith Olberman. We have AG's investigating themselves, judges refusing to hear cases against the government and a Congress that can only vote whether Christmas is a national holiday.
