Bad Gas

I wonder if right wing talk radio, whose listeners love to hump their misconception of the idea that free markets should dictate every aspect of reality, will be able to afford to drive the cars they use to listen to Rush and Sean in the coming days and weeks, or if they cannot afford to do so already.

The reality that we need to nationalize the oil and airline industries is becoming more and more apparent to me. And yet, I think we as a country are going to end up like that family that prays for their cancer to go away instead of seeking medical treatment, but I digress...

What I do know is that soon I will not be able to afford to drive to that protest nobody is starting (including yours truly) and showing up for. Then again, how would or should one go about protesting $4.43 9/10 a gallon for gas?

Anyhow, here is a map that shows you what people are paying throughout the country...

Hold on, it is only going to get worse.

It looks like the "free market" has finally become the "free-fall market".

started biking to work today. it's a short commute (6 miles each way), but sitting in LA rush-hour traffic counts as the majority of my gas consumption.

noticed quite a few fellow bike-commuters and wondered how many are recent converts like myself.
