DeNiro, the bank robber, is explaining to Pacino, the cop, that he will not go down quietly if the fuzz interferes with what should be the final heist of his career. DeNiro's character has avoided capture because his wisdom is equal to his bravado and mockingly asks Pacino, "Do you see me doing thrill-seeker liquor store holdups with a "Born to Lose" tattoo on my chest?"
