I was going to post this as a poll question, but I thought it might require some elaboration. As many of you are probably aware, gas prices are on the decline from record highs. Do any of you think that the price grocery and flight prices will decline, since their rise, for the most part, was blamed on gas prices?
For me, the answer is no, but I would love to know what your experiences have been these last few weeks before I make another bitter judgment against the cooperate structure.
My assumption is that companies will do the exact same thing the government does when they make a tax for a specific purpose and that purpose goes away. But I may be wrong...

I'd probably say no myself, mostly because I haven't noticed an appreciable drop in my grocery bill since gas started going down. I think people are certainly more willing to alter their gasoline usage than the amount/type of food they buy, especially if they're trying to eat healthy or have to stretch the dollar.
of the prices wont go down....... and of course mccain will use this to show how effective gop policy is to helping the average american
Interesting question Sal, from what I understand, this price drop is only temporary and that the prices will go back up eventually once demand surges and supply remains the same. The other side of it is that grocery stores etc... could not drastically raise the prices before when gas was at $140 a barrel hence they took a loss, maybe now they are back to old profit margins?
