Hats off to DCUP over at Politits for a great post today and a great link. (Warning: do not click that last link if you are having a good day, bad day, or any kind of day.)
Tom Brokaw is unfit for Meet The Press. Yes, we all know this already. But it had to be said... again.

Maybe Bush can do Meet the Press when he leaves office, since he never really met the press when he was in office.
nicely done sal.
I find it particularly interesting that Paulson with his $800M is laying down the law on this one. W emerges from his cone of silence and says, "rich people are losing cash. We need this done quickly." Given his track record, why would anyone with a brain possibly jump off that bridge?. The fineprint on this document (expected to be pushed through as a last round of shots for a happy hour gone way past closing time) holds the authors untouchable if this thing blows up. Congress barely reads what they sign already.
Good one, Sal!
Hey - thanks for the link and kind words. You know, I suck at math, but it occurs to me that if these guys would pool their wealth, they could take a sizable chunk out of that debt.....
I personally believe the president would never "fearmonger" a crisis to get what he wanted at the expense of the nation so get that idea out of your head right now Mister.
