With so much "serious" stuff going on in the world I would like to take a moment to say how glad I am that baseball is back. America's past time has and always will be there for me when the real world gets to be a bit too much. My beloved Red Sox had their home opener yesterday with a huge ceremony honoring champions of the New England area past and present. They also hung the World Champions banner and received their World Series rings. Something strange then followed. He has been an outcast since 1986 and I never understood why the fans wouldn't give him a break after all these years. Yet there he was, Bill Buckner, throwing out the first pitch to a HUGE ovation. Buckner was visibly moved by the show of love he probably has yearned for all these years living in obscurity in Idaho. Welcome back Bill! Now play ball!
He’s not even trying to hide it anymore
