McCain Admits Iraq War Was For Oil...

At a town hall meeting today in Colorado John McCain suggested that our invasion of Iraq was partly to blame for our dependence on foreign oil. As he touted his energy plan he dropped this whopper:

"My friends, I will have an energy policy that we will be talking about, which will eliminate our dependence on oil from the Middle East that will - that will then prevent us - that will prevent us from having ever to send our young men and women into conflict again in the Middle East," McCain said.

So McCain wants us off of Middle East oil so he won't have to commit more troops to more wars in the region? Why didn't you have this stance from the beginning Mr. McCain? If we were too dependent before the Iraq war, how did invading them help to get us off their oil? I thought our troops enlisted to fight the war on terrorism not the war to get us off Middle East oil. This is another classic Friday "news dump" and we'll see how much coverage it gets in the MSM.

Nice one Bradda. The Republican machine needs to reeducate McCain on how to lie all the time.

Just look at him....he's old! I have quit thinking that they were subtle talking points and the media were having fun calling them gaffes. He's just an old fucker who doesn't know what the hell he's talking about half the time. We thought Reagan was bad.
