- People in Britain are turning their deceased pets into coats. I think this might be wrong. My beloved mate Charlie the Dog recently went to, as this article states, "that great kennel in the sky," and yet, when the cold winds blow, I do not wish I had his fur made into a coat to keep me warm. I ask myself, were he to have outlived me, would I want to have him wear my skin or hair for any reason??? The answer is no...but am I just being selfish? If I am dead, what use do I have for my skin? But I digress....
- I thought I would post the World Factbook's profile for Iraq in order to celebrate their 5 years of glory and freedom. Here is an interesting quote from the page:

Here is some interesting data from the profile:What?!? Oil exports are around levels seen before Operation Iraqi Freedom? I thought one of the primary reasons gas was so high is that Iraq has NOT been producing like it had been. I have been unable to find any reliable or recent data as to the barrels per day oil production in Iraq now. I thought they were producing roughly 3.5 million bpd prior to the invasion.

First, to turn our pets into coats would be extremely bizarre. The thing is that most people who have pets that are mammals or birds form real relationships with them. Our pets become our family members, best friends, and companions. The equivalent of wearing one’s deceased pet’s hide would be to have your deceased mother’s sun-tanned skin manufactured into a belt to hold up your pants.
Second, always be wary of statistical reports. I did clinical research for three years and I, as well as anybody else who knows anything at all about statistics, can make real data mean whatever I want it to. I call the process funny statistics. Often statistics are manipulated to support the sponsors (corporations) that PAY for clinical trials to be done. The same types of funny statistics are frequently used in politics. Jeb Bush implemented the same types of standardized test strategies within the public schools of Florida as his brother George W. Bush had done in Texas. Under the plan schools always make academic progress in the positive direction because of political tricks and funny statistics. I can go on about this for quite a while, but I’ll stay on topic here instead. The point is that Bush statistics can not be trusted period.
